About Sarah
Sarah Porter is the principal and owner of Porterhouse Marketing. She has a keen ability to analyze multiple sets of information and data inputs in order to develop a clear strategy that takes her client’s marketing efforts to a new level. Sarah devises marketing plans and implements tactics that will achieve client goals efficiently while improving brand presence and positioning.
Background
Sarah specializes in account direction and project management brings almost 20 years of strategy, production, traditional and digital marketing experience to her clients. Prior to founding Porterhouse, Sarah built and lead several advertising agency account and business development teams. Throughout her career, Sarah has made it a priority to stay abreast of the latest Web tools and advances, brand strategies, and marketing tactics to keep her clients on the leading edge of effective strategies both on and offline.
As a seasoned marketing professional, Sarah has worked with regional and national clients in the industries of healthcare, education, legal, arts and events, and agriculture. Some of her current clients include Mind and Body Counseling, Eye Care Professionals, Floss Dental Boutique, The Reno Philharmonic, The Club at ArrowCreek, Matt Dion & Associates and Advantages School International.
Sarah has a BA in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising from the University of Nevada, Reno and is a Certified Content Marketing Expert through SEMrush. She was named Rising Star of the Year for Creative Services by NCET in 2014, and won 20 Under 40 in 2019. In February of 2020, Sarah delivered a TedX talk through the University of Nevada Reno on The Power of Never. Sarah also is a past chair of the Reno Phil’s Pops on the River, and served on the Board of Directors for The Discovery Museum from 2017 – 2024.
When she is not creating marketing strategies for Porterhouse’s clients, you can usually find her spending time with her husband and two boys or cooking for family and friends.
